Zucchini with Tomatoes and Ham

This recipe comes to us from Debra, who picks her share up at God's Little Garden in Cranberry.

I used the squash/zucchini, basil, and scallions in a recipe of my grandmother's and mom's.  Here it is:

1 pound ham - cubed
2 - 14 oz cans of diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce.
squash/zucchini - cubed or sliced
scallions - finely chopped
2 cloves garlic - finely chopped
basil - chopped
salt/pepper to taste

In a large saucepan, brown ham.  Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, scallions, garlic, basil and salt and pepper.  Let it cook for awhile to let the flavors mingle.  Add zucchini/squash and cook until tender.  Serve with italian bread and Enjoy!
